In the wake of flooding caused by heavy rains in eastern Ghana, nearly 26,000 people have been forced to leave their homes. The flooding has also destroyed crops and forced the closure of schools in the area.

Mercy Tamakloe, a 35-year-old food vendor and mother of two, has lost all of her belongings due to the flooding. She and her family have been displaced and are in need of food, water, and medicine.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is working with the government to provide relief to the affected communities.
