In a gruesome and shocking crime, a 27-year-old man was arrested for killing his 19-year-old girlfriend, Ridodzula Mudzanani, in South Africa.

The suspect then went on to fake his own death using the body of another unidentified man.

The incident took place in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, where the suspect was apprehended by the Thohoyandou Task Team at his hideout in the Waterberg District at Mokopane, Mahwelereng Zone 17, Polokwane.

According to the police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, emergency medical services were called to the scene, but the young woman ultimately died from her injuries. A subsequent investigation revealed that the deceased's ID was in the suspect's pocket, and the body was not the suspect's own.

A trace led police to Mahwelereng, where the suspect was arrested. Ledwaba concluded by saying that the suspect would soon be charged in court. The case remains under investigation.
