The Orange County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a gunman killed three people and wounded several more at a biker bar in Southern California's Orange County on Wednesday evening.

The suspect was shot and killed by deputies at the scene. Three victims and the gunman were pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting occurred at Cook's Corner, a bar in the Trabuco Canyon community, sometime before 7:45 p.m. local time.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Orange County Fire Authority Captain Sean Doran stated that six additional victims were taken to nearby hospitals, some of whom had suffered gunshot wounds.
