The Orange County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that a gunman killed three people and wounded several more at a biker bar in Southern California's Orange County on Wednesday evening.
The suspect was shot and killed by deputies at the scene. Three victims and the gunman were pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting occurred at Cook's Corner, a bar in the Trabuco Canyon community, sometime before 7:45 p.m. local time.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Orange County Fire Authority Captain Sean Doran stated that six additional victims were taken to nearby hospitals, some of whom had suffered gunshot wounds.
The conditions of the victims were not released, nor were any names provided.
The sheriff's department confirmed that no deputies were injured in the incident. The motive for the shooting and the circumstances leading up to it are not yet known.
A law enforcement source told CBS Los Angeles that the incident may have been related to a domestic dispute.
Trabuco Canyon is located about 55 miles south of Los Angeles.
