Over 25 people has sustained serious injury, following a tanker explosion at a filling station in the Rigasa region of Igabi Local Government in Kaduna State.

The State Director of Fire Service Mr. Paul Aboi, stated on Thursday that the fire service members are presently undergoing treatment at the Barau Dikko Specialist Hospital, located in Kaduna.

He clarified that on Wednesday, the incident occurred while the tanker was unloading gasoline.

He stated that the gasoline dumping shouldn’t have been done in the afternoon and attributed the occurrence on filing station incompetence.

He warned petrol owners against endangering citizens lives by offloading the commodity at the appropriate time.
