The Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State has remanded 52-year-old Kizito Chukwu in custody at the Awajighor Correctional Centre, for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl, resulting in her unwanted pregnancy.

Chukwu was also charged with harassment of the girl's 16-year-old sister, whom he allegedly forced into a romantic relationship.

The alleged incidents occurred at Chukwu's residence in Badagry in March of this year.

According to the prosecution, Kizito Chukwu allegedly penetrated the vagina of the 12-year-old girl, resulting in her unwanted pregnancy.

Additionally, he allegedly harassed the girl's 16-year-old sister by forcing her into a romantic relationship.

The alleged incidents took place at Chukwu's home in March of this year. The charges allegedly violate the Lagos State Criminal Laws of 2015.

Despite pleading not guilty, Chukwu was remanded in custody and the case was referred to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
