The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two teenagers, Hajara Usman, aged 19, and Ibrahim Usman, aged 18, for their alleged involvement in the abduction of a newborn baby.
According to reports, the two teenagers broke into the home of a mother who had recently given birth and took her infant.
The incident was reported by Adamu Baka, a 55-year-old resident of the Galawa area in Akuyam district of Misau Local Government Area.
The two teenagers have been arrested and are being questioned by the police.
Adamu Baka, a 55-year-old man from Galawa in Akuyam district, Misau Local Government Area, told the police that unknown perpetrators broke into his daughter's home at around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
The perpetrators took the daughter's newborn baby and fled the scene.
Mr. Baka was not at home at the time of the incident, but he received a phone call from his daughter, who was in distress.
