Troops have arrested a former soldier in Bauchi State who is suspected of supplying weapons to Boko Haram members.

The suspect, who was discharged from the 5th Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Damasak, was found in possession of 2 pistols, 2 magazines, and 8 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

In a separate operation, troops also arrested two suspected Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists' logistics suppliers at Kukareta Market in the Damaturu Local Government Area of Yobe State.

The suspects were found in possession of two mobile phones and 7,265 Naira.

These arrests were made possible by the ongoing aggressive clearance operations and patrols conducted by troops of Operation Hadin Kai to rid the North East of the remnants of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists.
