One of the senior civil engineer in the Bahamas Ministry of Works, has claimed that the government of Bahamas has refused to spend more on road construction which has led to the constant potholes that plague motorists daily.

Francis Clarke claims that the cost of road infrastructure improvements is expensive but  the government are doing their best to get it in order.

Engineer Clarke who further explained that the road needs urgent repair because of recent high intensity of rainfall and road edge erosions.

The senior engineer has also pleaded to the government to find a way, irrespective of the cost, in other to reduce the risk of accident.  

He says recently constructed roads were constructed by international standards which result in them lasting longer.
