The government has appointed Okpala as Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Works in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare.

This announcement was made by Dr. Nonye Soludo, wife of the state governor, at the Governor’s Lodge in Awka. Dr. Soludo emphasized that Tania’s journey of overcoming adversity will serve as a powerful tool to inspire younger generations and drive social interventions and humanitarian efforts.

Just months ago, a viral video sparked widespread concern for Tania, leading the state government to take swift action. Governor Soludo revealed that Tania received optimum care at a top rehabilitation center in the state. The governor expressed gratitude, recounting how he and his wife, Nonye, initiated her rehabilitation.

Dr. Soludo detailed the extensive support Tania received, including personal counseling, tennis training, and preparation for university studies. Tania is now pursuing a degree in Psychology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Expressing his gratitude, Tania’s father, Joel Okpala, thanked the state government for their unwavering support, noting that Tania’s struggles began after the death of her mother.

With her new appointment, Tania Okpala is set to use her life story to educate and inspire others, making a significant impact in her new role.
