In a remarkable turn of events, the Lagos State Police Command conducted a successful operation to rescue and secure the release of three brothers from the Fouani family, along with two other individuals, on Monday night in Orugbo Iddo.

The brothers, namely Abbas, Youssef, and Amtal Fouani, were abducted by kidnappers on June 14 while traveling by boat from Apapa to Victoria Island.

This shocking incident occurred around 6 PM and sent waves of fear throughout the community.

The kidnappers demanded a ransom of $1.5 million from the Fouani family, creating a tense situation that put immense pressure on both the family and authorities to ensure the safe return of the abducted individuals.

Determined to resolve the situation, the police sought assistance from the Nigerian Navy to bolster their efforts.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, revealed that the rescue operation was meticulously planned and executed by the Marine Police, with significant support from the navy.

Through their coordinated efforts, the captives were safely released and subsequently transported to their residence.
