Kenyans are intensifying their demands for President William Ruto's resignation, citing various issues that have severely impacted the nation.
Despite withdrawing the controversial finance bill that aimed to increase taxes to address Kenya's debt, public anger persists. A widely shared Twitter post states, "We no longer recognize William Ruto as President of Kenya. We recall his presidency and demand his immediate resignation, surrendering his office to the Kenyan people."
The withdrawn bill had aimed to raise taxes to service Kenya's massive debt of approximately 10 trillion shillings ($78 billion), equivalent to 70% of the country's GDP. However, Kenyans continue to express their dissatisfaction on social media, calling for President Ruto's resignation.
