The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Shuaibu Alhaji Yushau, who attempted to take his own life by climbing a high mast belonging to ASO Radio in Katampe.

Following a distress call from concerned citizens, police operatives quickly responded to the scene and successfully persuaded Yushau to descend from the mast.

During interrogation, Yushau cited the country's worsening economic situation as the reason for his attempted suicide, stating that "people are dying everywhere." He had been observing the mast for a week before attempting to climb it. The police intervened just in time to prevent a tragic incident.
