"We showed great character and resilience to come back from behind," said Rangers manager, Michael Beale. "Dessers' goal was a great reward for our efforts."

Dynamo Kiev's captain, Andriy Yarmolenko, opened the scoring in the 38th minute, slotting past Jack Butland after a clever setup by Vladyslav Vanat.

However, Dessers had the final say, netting a crucial equalizer late in the game to secure a vital point for Rangers.

"It was a great team effort, and I'm happy to have contributed to the draw," Dessers said. "We knew it would be a tough game, but we're pleased with the result."

The draw sets the stage for an intense second leg, with Rangers aiming to capitalize on their away goal advantage.

"We're looking forward to the return leg at Ibrox," Beale added. "We'll be ready to give it our all and make our home advantage count."

Rangers' determination and Dessers' late heroics have given the Scottish side a fighting chance in their UCL qualifying campaign.
