Real Madrid ended their pre-season on a high note, defeating Chelsea 2-1 in a thrilling match.

After consecutive losses to AC Milan and Barcelona, the win was a welcome boost for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

"We're pleased with the performance and the win," Ancelotti said. "It's a great way to conclude our pre-season preparations."

The match saw the return of key players Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, who both made significant contributions. 

Vinicius was instrumental in the winning goal, providing a clever assist for Brahim Diaz.

"I'm happy with the team's effort and Brahim's goal," Ancelotti added. "We're looking forward to the European Supercup match against Atalanta."

Real Madrid dominated the early stages, with Lucas Vazquez scoring the opener. 

However, Chelsea responded with a goal from Noni Madueke, assisted by Enzo Fernandez, just before halftime.

In the second half, Andriy Lunin made a crucial save to maintain Real Madrid's lead. 

Diaz's performance earned him the Man of the Match award, and Ancelotti praised his team's overall display.

"We've had a good pre-season, and this win gives us confidence heading into the new season," Ancelotti said. "We're ready for the challenge ahead."
