The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into mourning following the passing of its chairman, Ajiboye Omodewu.

According to reports, Omodewu died in the early hours of Monday, August 19, in the United States of America, after a long battle with an undisclosed ailment.

Omodewu, a native of Otu in Itesiwaju local government, was a dedicated leader and a staunch member of the APC. 

His death comes as a shock to many, especially considering his recent achievement of completing his law degree and law school.

"Ajiboye Omodewu was a true leader and a committed member of our party," said a party official. "His passing is a great loss to us all, and we will miss his guidance and wisdom."

Omodewu's legacy extends beyond his political career. 

He was a former Commissioner under the administration of the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi and was known for his dedication to public service.

"Ajiboye was a hardworking and compassionate individual who always put the needs of others before his own," said a colleague. "He will be deeply missed by all who knew him."

As the news of Omodewu's passing spreads, tributes are pouring in from across the state. His contributions to the APC and the people of Oyo State will not be forgotten.

"We will miss Ajiboye's leadership and vision," said another party member. "He was a true champion of our party's values and principles."
