In a thrilling 2025 AFCON qualifier match, Rwanda's resilient team, led by their outstanding goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari, held Nigeria's Super Eagles to a 0-0 draw.

Ntwari's impressive performance, which included nine remarkable saves, denied the Super Eagles a crucial win.

"We knew it wouldn't be an easy match, but we're proud of our team's performance," said Rwanda's coach, emphasizing the team's determination.

Despite numerous scoring opportunities, Victor Osimhen, Nigeria's talisman, couldn't find the back of the net, thanks to Ntwari's exceptional goalkeeping.

"We created chances, but their goalkeeper was exceptional," said Augustine Eguavoen, Nigeria's coach. "We'll take the point and move forward."

The match saw both teams display skill and passion, with Rwanda dominating the midfield in the first half. 

The Super Eagles, however, gained composure and created counter-attacks, but Ntwari was always ready to thwart their efforts.

The draw leaves Nigeria topping Group D with four points, two points ahead of Rwanda. 

As the teams look forward to their next matches, Ntwari's heroics will be remembered as a highlight of the encounter.

"I'm proud of my team's performance, and we'll continue to work hard," said Rwanda's coach, praising his team's resilience.
