This initiative aimed to support residents who have been severely impacted by the floods that have displaced countless families.

Partnering with the Noella Foundation, along with private sector allies and volunteers, the Tinubu family visited the affected areas on Friday to provide crucial humanitarian aid.

Their efforts were inspired by President Bola Tinubu’s call for individuals and organizations to contribute to the relief of flood victims.

Following this appeal, Seyi and Yinka mobilized resources from their extensive networks, ensuring that essential supplies reached those in desperate need.

“Our goal is simple – to bring urgent relief to those who need it most,” Seyi Tinubu stated on behalf of the team.

He emphasized that this initiative marks just the beginning of their commitment, adding, “We will continue to stand by the people of Maiduguri and Borno State as they recover from this tragedy.”

He assured that more donations and resources are on the way to ensure no family is left behind during the recovery process.

The relief packages distributed included a substantial variety of food items, such as 1,000 cartons each of spaghetti, tomato paste, and groundnut oil, along with 500 bags of rice and 200 bags of maize flour.

In addition, 10,000 loaves of bread were provided to meet immediate nutritional needs. Seasonings and essentials like 200 cartons of Maggi, 1,000 bags of salt, and 100 cartons of sugar were also included to enhance the meals.

To maintain dignity among displaced families, the relief mission provided non-food items as well, such as 5,000 mosquito nets, 1,000 mattresses, and 4,000 blankets, along with hygiene kits. Basic household provisions, including 4,000 kettles and 10,000 mats, were also distributed.

In terms of medical aid, the mission offered a wide array of supplies addressing the pressing health concerns of the affected population.

This included 26,000 packs of antimalarial drugs, various pain relief medications, and essential treatments for other health issues.

Moreover, a team of 50 doctors from the network of associates was mobilized to collaborate with the Borno State Ministry of Health, providing on-the-ground medical assistance in the following days.

Governor Babagana Zulum expressed his gratitude for the swift response, assuring that the donated resources would be effectively distributed to meet the needs of the impacted communities.

The relief mission stands as a testament to solidarity and resilience in the face of adversity.
