President Bola Tinubu has announced a 30-day confab for youths in the country to discuss and address challenges confronting them.

The announcement was made during his 64th Independence Day speech, where he emphasized the importance of engaging the nation’s youth, who represent over 60% of the population.

Tinubu highlighted the critical role of the younger generation in shaping the future of Nigeria and expressed his commitment to ensuring their voices are heard in the nation-building process.

The conference will provide a platform for young people across the country to discuss key issues such as education, employment, security, innovation, and social justice.

The President assured that the modalities for selecting participants will be developed in close collaboration with youth representatives to ensure inclusivity and diversity.

Tinubu’s administration has also launched several youth-focused initiatives aimed at empowering the next generation.

These include the 3 Million Technical Talents Program (3MTT) to boost digital skills, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, and the upcoming Renewed Hope Labour Employment and Empowerment Program, which seeks to create 2.5 million jobs annually.

The outcomes of the youth conference will be closely examined by the government, with a commitment to implementing its recommendations, all in line with Tinubu's vision of building a more inclusive, prosperous, and united Nigeria.
