In a bold move, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has ordered all international airlines to vacate the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) by October 1, 2023, to make way for much-needed maintenance work.

During a tour of the airport in Lagos, the minister, accompanied by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria's CEO, Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, issued a directive for airlines and companies to relocate to the newly constructed MMIA Terminal 2.
