The legal case against afrobeat artist Seun Kuti was recently adjourned to September 27th.

The singer had been accused of assaulting a police officer in May, with the issue being brought to court on September 4th.

However, the Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun was not present, leading to the case being delayed.

Seun Kuti was arrested on May 15th after allegedly assaulting a police officer.

In his own defense, the son of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti said the officer attempted to kill him, but he chose not to press charges.

Kuti was handcuffed and taken to the state CID in Panti, Yaba for questioning, then released on bail on May 23rd.
