Retired Teacher' Son Still Held Captive After Father's Release:

Ishaya Musa, a relative of the victim, told Daily Trust on Sunday that the retired teacher was kidnapped two weeks ago from his residence and held captive with his son.

After paying a ransom of N5 million, Mr. Musa was released while the kidnappers demanded an additional N3 million for his son's release.

The retired teacher's family reportedly had to sell off valuable items and borrow money to raise the ransom of N5 million, while appealing to the security forces for assistance in rescuing the victim's son.

The family's situation is a sobering reminder of the financial toll that kidnapping can take, and the dire need for security forces to take swift action to protect innocent people from this crime.

The family's calls for help are a poignant reminder of the anguish that they must be feeling, and the urgency of the situation.
