The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has announced that an 8,000-bed student hostel in the Ojo Campus of the university is now completed and ready for allocation.

The completion of the student hostel, which had been under construction for several years, is a major milestone for LASU and will significantly ease the shortage of accommodation for its students.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello also used the opportunity to share other significant achievements of the university during her tenure, including the accreditation of nine additional courses, the establishment of new departments and a Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, and the successful performance of graduates in various professional examinations.

She also highlighted plans for improving the quality of education at LASU, including the establishment of an entrepreneurial skills training centre and a sports institute.
