A young female student from Al-Hikmah International School Secondary School, Ilọrin, Kwara State, Nigeria, has won an exciting scholarship and cash prize following her participation in a prestigious debate competition.

The 14-year-old SS2 student, Hikmah Abdulkareem, outperformed 105 other participants to emerge as the overall winner of the TVC Women Network Secondary School Female Championship Debate, which was held on Saturday, October 22, to commemorate the 2023 International Day of the Girl Child.In addition to the award and the scholarships, the founder of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Oladimeji, announced that Hikmah would be given automatic employment after her graduation.

He also gifted her principal, Mr. Raliat Brimmoh, and her form mistress, Mrs. Sekinah Jatto Oyewole, N100,000 each. Alhaji Oladimeji encouraged corporations and institutions to reward and support achievers who make the nation proud in whatever they do.
