The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA) announced the rescue of Private Ori Megidish, an Israeli female soldier who had been taken hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

According to the IDF, Megidish was rescued in a ground operation that occurred overnight, after she was taken hostage on October 7th.

The IDF stated that Megidish is doing well and has been reunited with her family.

The IDF and ISA pledged to continue their efforts to free any remaining hostages.The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced on X that the female soldier, Uri Magidish, had been rescued by Israeli forces.

He congratulated the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on their successful operation, which he described as "an exciting achievement."

He also warned Hamas and ISIS, the terrorist organizations allegedly responsible for the kidnapping, that Israel will continue to pursue them until they are defeated. The Prime Minister's tweets were posted in the wake of Magidish's rescue, which took place on X.
