The Ogun State Police Command reported that gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, invaded a Celestial Church in Oriyarin village, Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, abducting two worshippers.

SP Omolola Odutola, the State Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Friday. Identified as Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola, the worshippers were taken into a thick forest behind the church.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Alamutu Abiodun, has ordered the immediate mobilization of security personnel to pursue the gunmen.
