According to sources close to the Imo state government, the state is still in the process of preparing a list of individuals who will receive federal government palliatives.

The source noted that this was not an easy task, as the list needed to be comprehensive and accurate to ensure that the right people receive the benefits.

The source also noted that the government is working hard to get the list ready as soon as possible, so that the palliatives can be distributed to those in need.

He said: “The governor, Hope Uzodimma, has been away for some time and possibly will be back by next week and upon arrival the government will announce the modalities for the selection of the persons to be favoured with the federal government palliative.

“We are sure that once the governor comes back everything will kick off. Let us have patience. The Hope Uzodimma will do the needful. I want to tell the government is preparing the lists.”

While the media handlers of the Imo state government have been asked to comment on the issue, they requested more time to provide an official response regarding the state's plans for distributing federal government palliatives.

This indicates that the government is still working on a plan for allocating the benefits and has not yet finalized its decision.
