A Nigerian man has shared how he married his wife even though he had only N200,000 in his bank account at the time.

The man, who was reacting to a statement by Big Brother Naija reality star Rachel that women should avoid dating men who earn less than N800,000 per month, explained that his wife stuck by him even when he had nothing.

He explained that he was living with his grandmother and only had two motorcycles to his name, but his wife still agreed to marry him.

"She married me with 200k in my account, and we lived in a single ROOM in my grandmother’s house. There was no real source of income except two bikes in my name. Today, we are thanking God.
Some of you ladies are just unfortunate, fellow,” he wrote.
