Police officer named Inspector Moses Paul in Kaduna state has been arrested for attempting to strangle his colleague, Inspector Simnawa Paul, while they were both on duty at the Police Mobile Force base of 62 Squadron Kafanchan on June 16.

In a statement released by the police today June 26, said that Inspector Moses Paul tried to strangle, using a rope, his unsuspecting colleague. The statement further said the ''victim was rescued by two other Police Officers whose attention were drawn by his screams.
''

The police also said that preliminary inquiries has reveal that the primary motive was in attempt to cart away Inspector Simnawa Paul's rifle while the the remote cause of action will be ascertained at the end of the full scale investigation during which the culprit will be facing both disciplinary and legal proceedings.
