The Super Eagles has wowed Nigerians after break a long years jinx as they beat the host nation Ivory Coast 1-0 in the second leg of the ongoing African cup of nations (AFCON).

The host nations who has boasted that, the Super Eagles will be severely humiliated before the kick off, has face their loom as the Nigerian side replied with a goal to secure the top position in group A.

It was a dramatic first half that ended goalless,  but the super Eagles never loses faith, stood with massive co-ordination and confidence. 

The second half started with a tensed pressure, but 10mins after the second half kick off, African best player Victor Osimhen was foul played, as the referee awarded a penalty which gave the super Eagles a 1-0 victory.

The Ivorian now need to battle for a survival against Equatorial Guinea as Nigeria needs a win to secure the first position for the next phase of the tournament.
