The Super Eagles striker and Napoli king Victor Osimhen has been dropped from the team who will be facing the bafana bafana boys of South Africa on Wednesday.

The update was released on the team’s popular microblogging platform Twitter page on Monday night, revealing that Victor Osimhen suddenly started battling with an abdominal discomfort which has made the team move on without him.

According to the statement released, it says “Members of the team traveled from Abidjan to Bouaké today via a 10pm Air Cote D'Ivoire flight. Osimhen did not however make the trip as a result of an abdominal discomfort. Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him. If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5pm.”

Although following the statement from some of Shegzeblog correspondence in Ivory Coast, confirmed that the Nigerian Maradona is responding to treatment and will be fine before Wednesday for the semifinals clash between Nigeria and South Africa.
