American renowned rapper and singer 50 Cent is suing his former girlfriend, Daphne Joy, for defamation, alleging that she falsely accused him of physical abuse and rape.

The rapper claims that Joy made these accusations in an effort to gain sole custody of their 11-year-old son, Sire. According to 50 Cent, Joy's allegations were made in retaliation after he sought sole custody of Sire, following Joy's involvement in a sex trafficking lawsuit against Diddy.

50 Cent asserts that Joy's actions have harmed his business reputation and his child custody case.

In response to the lawsuit, 50 Cent's legal team stated, "Ms. Narvaez has shamefully chosen to interfere with her 11-year-old son’s relationship with his loving father by falsely calling him a ‘rapist’."

This legal dispute is part of a larger series of controversies involving Diddy, where Joy was implicated as a "sex worker." Joy has refuted this claim, calling it a "character assassination." In turn, she has accused 50 Cent of rape and of being an absentee father to Sire.

Despite Joy's allegations, 50 Cent has denied them, and his legal team has sent Joy a letter demanding a retraction, which she has declined to do.

Currently, 50 Cent is seeking damages exceeding $1 million for defamation, as well as a court order to have Joy's post removed and to prevent further defamatory statements.

The relationship between 50 Cent and Joy lasted from 2011 to 2012, ending shortly after the birth of their son.
