Juliet Kings Unigwe, the mother of Nollywood actress Angel Unigwe, has filed a lawsuit against veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo, accusing him of breaching a production contract and making defamatory statements.

Kanayo O. Kanayo had taken to social media to accuse Angel Unigwe of failing to fulfill her contractual obligations and alleged that her mother had a history of prematurely removing her from sets, thereby breaching contracts.

In response, Juliet Kings Unigwe released a statement denying the allegations, stating that they "hold sacred the terms of any contract" and are committed to fulfilling their obligations.

She also expressed hurt and disappointment at the "false accusations and slanderous statements" made by Kanayo O. Kanayo. The matter is now being addressed through legal channels.
