The parents of Leah Sharibu, the young girl who has been held captive by Boko Haram since 2018, have made a fresh appeal to the Nigerian government to do everything possible to secure their daughter's release.

The Sharibus, who have been advocating for the daughter's release since she was abducted from her school in Dapchi, Yobe State, said they have not given up hope and are appealing to the government not to forget about their daughter.

Leah Sharibu was the only girl who was not released from captivity by Boko Haram after the group abducted 110 schoolgirls from their school in Dapchi.
