The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) is currently hearing a case brought by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, who are challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.

The PDP and Atiku are seeking to nullify the election results, alleging irregularities and fraud.

The case is currently at the stage of adoption of final briefs of argument by the parties involved, which will be followed by a judgment date.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced on March 1 that Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had won the February 25 presidential election.

Tinubu scored 8,794,726 votes to defeat the two major contenders, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
