During an interview on The Beat FM Lagos, Ayra Starr clarified that her collaborations were driven solely by her respect for their musical abilities.

When questioned about whether the inclusion of both artists on her sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21,’ was influenced by their alleged rivalry, she denied any such intention.

While Asake and Seyi Vibez have not had any public confrontations, there has been evident tension among their fans on social media platforms.
