On Monday, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, joined President Bola Tinubu at the launch of the Food Security and Agricultural Mechanisation Programme in Niger State.

According to a statement by the governor's media aide, Jubril Gawat, the event was an opportunity for the state government to showcase its commitment to promoting food security and agricultural development in the country. The governor also highlighted the importance of building capacity for agricultural production and food security in Nigeria.

The event was attended by other high-ranking government officials and agricultural experts.

Gawat wrote, "Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu, joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR in launching the Food Security and Agricultural Mechanisation Programme in Niger State.

"The initiative, led by the Niger State Government, aims to introduce agricultural machinery and technology for large-scale agro-value chain development in the state."
