Chelsea FC remains interested in signing Napoli's Victor Osimhen, but only on one condition - a loan deal.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues are hesitant to meet Napoli's €130m (£110.8m) release clause, which has also deterred Paris Saint-Germain from making a bid.

"We're willing to negotiate a loan deal, but we won't pay the full release clause," a Chelsea source revealed. "We believe Osimhen's talent and potential warrant a move, but we need to be financially responsible."

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is holding firm on the release clause, but Chelsea's proposed loan deal may be the most viable option for the Italian club.

"We're open to discussions, but our priority is to secure the best deal for Napoli," de Laurentiis said. "If Chelsea can meet our conditions, we'll consider their proposal."

Osimhen's impressive performances for Napoli and the Super Eagles have attracted top European clubs, but Chelsea's cautious approach may pay off if they can secure a loan deal.
