Police in Florida pulled over a driver on a major highway only to discover that the person behind the wheel was a 10-year-old boy.

The shocking encounter occurred in Alachua, Florida, hundreds of miles from where the boy and his 11-year-old sister had been reported missing earlier in the week by their mother.

The two had apparently run away from home after their electronic devices were confiscated by their mother. During the traffic stop, the boy, only 10 years old, got out of the car with his sister, and deputies were shocked to see how young he was.

It was revealed that the sedan driven by the 10-year-old boy had been reported missing by the children's mother in North Port, Florida, over 200 miles from where they were stopped in Alachua.

Upon questioning, officers learned that the children were angry with their mother because she had taken away their electronic devices for using them inappropriately.

It was clear that they were not being mistreated at home, and that the mother had taken these measures to help teach her children the appropriate use of technology. The mother then drove for three hours to Alachua to pick up her children.
