Coroner's Court Orders Substituted Service on Key Witnesses in Mohbad's Death Inquest

The Coroner's Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has taken a significant step in the ongoing inquest into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.

Magistrate T. A. Sotobi has directed the family to serve key witnesses through substituted service, ensuring their timely appearance in court.

"The family is hereby ordered to publish the application in a widely read national newspaper and on social media platforms," Magistrate Sotobi said. "This will ensure that all witnesses are aware of the summons and can appear in court accordingly."

The witnesses to be served include Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley), Samson Eletu (Sam Larry), Karimot Ogunbayo (Mohbad's sister-in-law), Boluwatife Adeyemo (Darosha), and Mohbad's lawyer, Oluwasanmi Falade.

Additionally, the court has approved the application to recall two key witnesses, Wunmi (Mohbad's wife) and ASP Muhammad Yusuf (the Investigating Police Officer), to provide further testimony.

"We need to get to the bottom of Mohbad's death, and these witnesses are crucial to uncovering the truth," Magistrate Sotobi emphasized.

The court's decision marks a significant milestone in the inquest, ensuring that all relevant parties are held accountable and that justice is served.
