Dr. Anu Adepoju, a well-known cosmetic surgeon and the head of MedContour Services Ltd, has been convicted by a court on all five counts brought against her by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

The FCCPC received multiple complaints against Dr. Adepoju from clients Marlene Oluwakemi, Taiwo Temilade, and Vivian Onwuzuligbo. These complaints highlighted significant concerns regarding the safety and quality of the services provided by Dr. Adepoju. The clients alleged that Dr. Adepoju's services were unsafe for consumers and that she engaged in false, misleading, and deceptive practices in the marketing of her services.

Following an investigation, the FCCPC found sufficient evidence to prosecute Dr. Adepoju on five counts. The court, after examining the evidence and hearing testimonies, convicted Dr. Adepoju on all charges. The specific counts included, Provision of unsafe services to consumers, False representation in marketing, and Misleading and deceptive practice.
