This reduction follows the recent price cut to N1,000, making it the third significant reduction in less than three weeks. The new price of N940 applies to customers purchasing five million litres and above, while N970 is for customers buying one million litres and above.

The Head of Communication, Mr Anthony Chiejina, stated that this price adjustment aligns with the company's commitment to easing the economic challenges faced in Nigeria. He also mentioned a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations to offer affordable fuel prices, starting from N1,050 for diesel and N980 for aviation fuel, with plans to extend the partnership to other major oil marketers. President Bola Tinubu and the Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Mr Ajayi Kadiri, have commended Dangote for these price reductions, emphasizing the positive impact on the national economy.
