Former Taraba State PDP Chairman Victor Bala Kona has passed away after a short illness, leaving a void in the political landscape of the state.

In a solemn press statement, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas' media aide, Emmanuel Bello, called the passing of Chief Kona a painful one, and our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and the community he served so selflessly.

His legacy as a dedicated leader and public servant will surely be remembered.

Speaking volumes to his dedication and impact within the PDP.

During his nearly 8-year tenure as Chairman, he was clearly a driving force in the growth and influence of the party in Taraba State.

And to have Kefas take over as Chairman after the deceased resigned to pursue the governorship is a testament to the strong foundation he left behind.
