A 4-year-old girl in Edo State, Nigeria, has been rescued by government authorities after her father was arrested for exploiting her in adult content, sparking outrage on social media.

The Edo State Government intervened in the disturbing case of child exploitation, removing the child from her father's custody. The incident came to light after explicit videos and photos of the minor surfaced online, prompting widespread condemnation.

The Edo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, confirmed the rescue in a social media post, stating that the child is now under the care of authorities for medical examination and support. "We will keep you updated on her well-being. Thank you all for your efforts in ensuring our children's safety and well-being," he wrote.
