On April 27, FCT police command operatives arrested two female suspects, Kulu Dogonyaro and Elizabeth Ojah, for their involvement in trafficking five children.

The suspects, attempting to evade arrest by Sokoto police operatives, were intercepted and apprehended by FCT police at Kagini junction, Abuja, while transporting five children into the Federal Capital Territory.

Confirming the arrest to the media, FCT police command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, stated in a released statement that the command had handed the suspects and victims over to the Sokoto state police command for further investigation and prosecution.

She added that FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, advised parents to closely monitor their children's activities and reiterated his commitment to ensuring the safety of FCT residents.
