This latest rescue mission follows the successful rescue of 10 teenage girls in June, who were also victims of human trafficking and forced prostitution.

The victims, mostly from Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, and Kaduna states, were deceived with promises of a better life in Ghana but were instead forced into prostitution.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Nigerian government and the Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), these individuals have been rescued and are currently en route back to Nigeria.

Upon their return, they will receive necessary counseling, be reunited with their families, and undergo rehabilitation programs provided by their respective state governments.

Additionally, suspected traffickers have been apprehended and handed over to security agencies and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further investigation and prosecution.

This rescue mission demonstrates the Federal Government's commitment to combating human trafficking and ensuring the safety and well-being of Nigerian citizens both at home and abroad.
