Donald Trump is set to hold a rally in the South Bronx, his first in New York in eight years, as he faces trial in Manhattan.

With his travel schedule limited due to court requirements, Trump is getting creative with his campaigning ahead of the 2024 election. The rally, scheduled for May 23 at Crotona Park, will focus on the economy, crime rates, and the migrant crisis. Trump's campaign claims that New Yorkers have suffered under Biden's policies.

Despite being a native New Yorker, Trump is not popular in the city, having lost to Biden in the 2020 election with only 23.8% of the vote. However, he maintains a following in some areas, including Staten Island and parts of south Brooklyn. The rally comes as Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records to allegedly cover up hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.
