In a disturbing new development, suspected Fulani herdsmen have abducted a Catholic priest, Reverend Father Marcellinus Okide, and six other motorists in separate locations across Enugu State.

The abductions come just 24 hours after a middle-aged man was killed and several others kidnapped in Enugu State.

Father Okide, parish priest of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Udi local government area, was kidnapped on Sunday evening while returning to his parish on the Eke-Affa-Egede road.
