The suspect, who had previously been linked to the deaths of his girlfriend in 2018 and sister in 2020, demanded a N3 million ransom from Christiana's single mother before killing her.

According to the Student Union Government president, Ibrahim Adeyemi, "The Union can confirm that she was reportedly killed by her abductor. We will be addressing the matter soon."

Christiana, a student observing her industrial training at the University of Lagos, was abducted on August 19, 2024, while traveling between Ikorodu and Yaba in Lagos State.

Her family received a ransom demand of N3 million from the kidnappers, who used Christiana's phone to communicate.

An investigation by intelligence operatives led to the identification of the suspect, who had a mutual relationship with Christiana on social media. Operatives tracked the suspect's cell phone activities and text messages, leading them to his parent's house in Ikorodu.

"The operatives began to track down his cell phone activities and text messages. The cell phone tracking led them to his parent's house, somewhere in Ikorodu," a source revealed.

This heinous crime has sent shockwaves through the academic community, highlighting the need for increased security measures and awareness about the dangers of kidnapping and violence.

"We will not rest until justice is served," Adeyemi vowed. "We urge students to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities."
