In a recent X post, Nigerian singer Abubakar Musa, popularly known as Gucci Branch, set the record straight about his relationship with the Marlian Music record label.

He made it clear that he is no longer affiliated with the record label, and that any rumors to the contrary are false.

This comes after a series of headlines regarding the untimely death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as MohBad, who was a former signee of Marlian Music. Gucci Branch has not been affiliated with the record label since his arrest in 2019.

He said, "I heard they are searching for me, why are people searching for me?

"I ran for my life since 2019, I'm lowkey now.

"I am not part of the Marlians neither am I affiliated with Zlatan Ibile or Jago. I am on my own."
