Mark Margolis, the actor known for his roles in the hit shows "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul", has passed away at the age of 83.

Margolis died in New York City on Thursday, August 3, after a short illness. His wife and son were at his bedside when he passed.

Margolis was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as Hector Salamanca in "Breaking Bad", a ruthless and mute drug lord who communicates with a bell.

Mark Margolis, the acclaimed actor who starred in films such as "Scarface" and "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective", had a long and successful career that spanned decades.

In addition to his film roles, Margolis appeared in numerous television shows and theatre productions.

Margolis is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jacqueline, his son Morgan, his daughter-in-law Heide, and his three grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
